We are proud to announce that Marais Laying has had its Totika supplier listing certificate renewed for 2024, achieving a 100% score.
After obtaining the ISO 14001:2015, 45001:2018, and 9001:2015 certifications a few months ago, it is gratifying to see our commitment to health and safety recognized once again.
What is Tōtika?
Tōtika is a fair and equitable certification scheme designed to streamline the pre-qualification process for suppliers. Instead of having to pre-qualify multiple times for different clients and opportunities, suppliers only need to pre-qualify once. The key features of Tōtika include:
One Universal Standard: Provides a single source and common view for health and safety (H&S) pre-qualification.
One Cross Recognition Framework: Recognizes external audits of suppliers as a valid alternative.
External Assessment and Certification Schemes: Recognizes certifications such as ISO 45001, SafePlus On-Site Assessments, and Q-Safe certification.
What Tōtika Isn't
Tōtika is not merely another pre-qualification system; it is a comprehensive framework that consolidates all health and safety pre-qualifications under one umbrella, making the process more efficient and cost-effective for everyone involved. Tōtika does not relieve a buyer’s or client’s responsibility for health and safety, nor does it guarantee a supplier’s ability to perform a job. As a not-for-profit initiative, any surplus funds after covering costs are reinvested for the benefit of the industry.
